AKTIVITI	- Teacher explains to the students that when students response to questions that ask for opinions, they may use the expressions below to give their opinions such as i. Personally, i think... ii. I strongly believe that ... iii. I am quite ... iv. I am convinced ... v. I think - Students practice giving their opinions using the expressions taught on an issue given by the teacher.
CATATAN / REFLEKSI	- Most of the students were able to use the expressions satisfactorily to give their opinions on the issues given by the teacher

AKTIVITI	- Teacher explains that when writing essays it is important that students begin with a good introduction which attracts the attention of the reader and serves as a guide to give them the direction as they develop their ideas. - Students learn about the 6 strategies of beginning their essay - Teacher guides the students as the students practice writing the introduction of the essay
CATATAN / REFLEKSI	- Most of the students were able to write a simple introduction using the strategies taught and through the guide words given

General Students will be able to use specific expressions to distinguish factual information from opinions Specific Students will be able to express factual information such as "research has shown that ..." and "In my opinion ..." to give personal opinions.
AKTIVITI	i. Teacher explains to the students that when a speaker discusses a subject, he usually conveys a lot of factual information ii. At the same time he may also add hos own opinions i.i. what he thinks or believes about the subject or issue iii. Therefore, to distinguish between factual information from opinions a speaker usually uses specific expressions such as: Research has shown that ... According to Professor ... It has been found that ... These are some common expressions used to express factual information Below are some common expressions used to give personal opinions; In my opinion ... I believe ... I personally believe ... iv. Students practice giving factual information and personal opinions using the expressions taught to them on a given issue.
CATATAN / REFLEKSI	- Students were able to give both factual information and personal opinions satisfactorily on the issue given using the expressions taugtht.

PEDAGOGICAL STRATEGY OBJEKTIF	Preparing for examination -          Attending tuition classes, early revision, making short notes, etc Speaking skill Giving opinions and reasons Mastery learning General Students will be able to give opinions on the tasks given Specific Students will be able to describe 3 points with elaborations for each of the task given on preparation for examinations.
AKTIVITI	-          Teacher poses questions to the students about ways to prepare for public examination and to achive excellent results -          Students work individually to decsribe the ways of how to fare well in examination -          After that, students present individually for task A, giving their reasons and elaborations. Teacher assesses the studdents while they present the task.
CATATAN / REFLEKSI	About one third of the students were able to present their task well with simple sentence structures with less grammatical mistakes. The rest need a lot of guidance.

PEDAGOGICAL STRATEGY CCTS OBJEKTIF	Listening for the main idea and specific details/information -          Listening for news item Listening for main ideas, Listening for specific details, Note-taking, Paraphrasing, Summarizing Mastery learning, contextual learning Identifying and giving causes, Making associations or connections General Students will be able to listen to find out the main subject or topic of the news, speech, talk or discussion Specific Student will be able to answer the 7 questions pertaining to the news item on a mysterious bright light and the discovery of an archaelogical site
AKTIVITI	-          Teacher explains to the students that they generally listen in order to find out the main  subject or topic of the news item, speech, talk or discussion they are listening to. -          They also listen in order to find out how the subject or topic is dealt with -          Students are given two news item on the discovery of an achaelogical site and a mysterious bright light that crossed the east coast of Australia. -          Students attempt the 7 fill-in-blank questions pertaining to the two news item.
CATATAN / REFLEKSI	Most of the students were able to answer the questions given satisfactorily.
