Specific Students will be able to write the introduction of an essay by writing the general statement and the thesis statement. |
| AKTIVITI | - Teacher explains that when writing essays it is important that students begin with a good introduction which attracts the attention of the reader and serves as a guide to give them the direction as they develop their ideas. - Students learn about the 6 strategies of beginning their essay. - Teacher guides the students as the students practice writing the introduction of the essay. |
| CATATAN / REFLEKSI | - Most of the students were able to write a simple introduction using one of the strategies taught. |

| AKTIVITI | - Teacher explains that identifying and using signal words, heading and subheadings help make a sentence cohesive (forming a united whole) - Students learn that these features enable them to understand and follow how the writer has organised or fitted his ideas together. - Students learn the types of signal words and their functions with examples given. |
