Students will be able to listen to the following statements and pick out the key words or ideas and paraphrasing them.

AKTIVITI

- Teacher explains to the students that paraphrasing is a restatement of all the speaker's ideas in their own words

- when they listen to any spoken discourse they should first pick out key words or ideas that can help them understand the gist of what the person is saying.

Then, they paraphrase by linking the key words or ideas.

  • Students practice paraphrasing the statements with the teacher to teach them how to paraphrase statements correctly.

CATATAN / REFLEKSI

Objective achieved quite satisfactorily. The teacher had to guide the students continuously in order to get them to understand the lesson taught.

Most of the students were quite poor in comprehending the lesson as their proficiency in the nglish language was quite low.
