AKTIVITI | - Teacher explains to the students that when students response to questions that ask for opinions, they may use the expessions below to give their opinions such as i. Personally, i think... ii. I strongly believe that ... iii. I am quite ... iv. I am convinced ... v. I think - Students practice giving their opinions using the expressions taught on an issue given by the teacher. |
CATATAN / REFLEKSI | - students need a lot of guidance in order to be able to give their opinions using the expressions taught without referring to the sentences given on the board. |

General Students will be able to use specific expressions to distinguish factual information from opinions Specific Students will be able to express factual information such as "research has shown that ..." and "In my opinion ..." to give personal opinions. |
AKTIVITI | i. Teacher explains to the students that when a speaker discusses a subject, he usually conveys a lot of factual information ii. At the same time he may also add hos own opinions i.i. what he thinks or believes about the subject or issue iii. Therefore, to distinguish between factual information from opinions a speaker usually uses specific expressions such as: Research has shown that ... According to Professor ... It has been found that ... These are some common expressions used to express factual information Below are some common expressions used to give personal opinions; In my opinion ... I believe ... I personally believe ... iv. Students practice giving factual information and personal opinions using the expressions taught to them on a given issue. |
CATATAN / REFLEKSI | - most of the students were not able to give oral response regarding factual information and personal opinions as their command of the language was very low. |
