AKTIVITI | - Teacher explains that identifying and using signal words, heading and subheadings which help make a sentence cohesive - Students learn that these features enable them to understand and follow how the writer has organised or fitted his ideas together. - Students learn the types of signal words and their functions with examples given. |
CATATAN / REFLEKSI | Two third of the students were able to understand the lesson well and they will practice writing sentences using the signal words in the coming lesson. |

AKTIVITI | - Teacher explains to the students that topical order in writing is the orhanisation of information which involves classification and analysis of ideas and objects - A variety of ideas and objects can be arranged and grouped together through the process of sorting, arranging or grouping similar ideas or objects into some form of order based upon shared characteristics or traits. - Students practice writing a report using the tpical order using a sample text. |
CATATAN / REFLEKSI | This was quite a challenging lesson. The students will take this lesson again in the coming lesson for reinforcement |

Specific Students will be able to determine which words have a favourable or unfavourable connotations or are neutral i.e. neither favourable nor unfavourable. |
AKTIVITI | - Teacher explains to the students that words often refer very simply to the thing or objects that they name. - They denote a meaning that is the same for everybody - Students learn some of words that carry additional meanings that are either positive or negative and indicate approval or disapproval. |
CATATAN / REFLEKSI | Students were quite confused with the meaning of connotations and denotation. They will learn this lesson again in the coming lesson. |

Specific Students will be able to complete the dialogues with the correct wh-question words and the questions. |
AKTIVITI | - Teacher discusses with the students the dialogies on the purchse of computer games for the computer club of rihanna’c campus - Teacher discusses with the students the suitable wh-question words the students might use in forming the questions for the dialogues - Students work in pairs to complete the dialogue with the suitable questions. |
CATATAN / REFLEKSI | Only a handful of the students were able to complete the dialogue correctly and the rest need more guidance as their proficiency in the english language was quite poor. |
