AKTIVITI

-          Students discuss with the teacher the amount of water consumed per inhabitant in litres in the countries mentioned in the table
-          Teacher writes the main points on the blackboard for the students to construct sentences in groups
-          Teacher checks the students work while they construct their sentences to form paragraphs
CATATAN / REFLEKSI
-          Students were quite poor in constructing the sentences to form paragraphs for the points given on the use of water.

-          We use our own words to express our understanding of the speaker’s ideas.
-          When we do this we are actually paraphrasing.
-          In other words a paraphrase is a restatement of all the speaker’s ideas in our own words.
-          Students practice listening to text 1 for the following statements and picking out the key words or ideas.
-          Then, students paraphrase them. Teacher guides students in paraphrasing and picking out the key words.
CATATAN / REFLEKSI
-          Students were able to pick out the key words and later paraphrasing them without the teacher’s guide.
