  1. Teacher explains the meaning of the words in the poem so that students will be able to understand the poem much easier
  2. Students read the poem again and explain the meaning of the poem to the teacher.

Students will be able to paraphrase the sentences given to them into a single sentence.
ACTIVITY
      - Teacher explains to the students that when they are asked to write a summary of a paragraph or text, they are required to select the key points and restate them in their own words without altering the ideas and attitude of the writer
      - We need to summarise in order to
i. Simplify the text so that it is easy to remember
ii. To answer exam questions
iii. To report on information
      - Tr shows some sentences and get students to practice paraphrasing the sentences to develop their skill in paraphrasing.
REFLECTION
      - Most of the students were able to paraphrase the simple sentences given to them with the teacher’s guide.
