Students will be able to use specific expressions to distinguish factual information from opinions
Specific
Students will be able to express factual information such as "research has shown that ..." and "In my opinion ..." to give personal opinions.
AKTIVITI
i. Teacher explains to the students that when a speaker discusses a subject, he usually conveys a lot of factual information
ii. At the same time he may also add hos own opinions i.i. what he thinks or believes about the subject or issue
iii. Therefore, to distinguish between factual information from opinions a speaker usually uses specific expressions such as:
Research has shown that ...
According to Professor ...
It has been found that ...
These are some common expressions used to express factual information
Below are some common expressions used to give personal opinions;
In my opinion ...
I believe ...
I personally believe ...
iv. Students practice giving factual information and personal opinions using the expressions taught to them on a given issue.
CATATAN / REFLEKSI
- Students were able to give both factual information and personal opinions satisfactorily on the issue given using the expressions taught.

Students will be able to listen to the following talk and summarise for the main or general idea

Student will be able to fill in the 11 blanks to complete the talk on the importance of learning english.
AKTIVITI
-          Teacher explains to the students that effective note-taking requires mastering the skills of summarising and paraphrasing
-          Summarising involves listening for general information and when students summarise they listen for the main or general idea of a talk, speech, announcement, etc.
-          Students listen to the talk on the importance of learning English and complete the short notes on the importance of learning English.  
CATATAN / REFLEKSI
Only 13 out of the 26 students were able to complete the blanks satisfactorily.

Students will be able to describe 3 points with elaborations for each of the task given on preparation for examinations.

-          Teacher poses questions to the students about ways to prepare for public examination and to achive excellent results
-          Students work individually to decsribe the ways of how to fare well in examination
-          After that, students present individually for task A, giving their reasons and elaborations. Teacher assesses the students while they present the task.
CATATAN / REFLEKSI
Most of the students were able to answer the questions given.
