-          Teacher does some revision with the students on the preparation for the MUET exam year end by explaining to the students that a short story is a work of fiction which comes from the writer’s imagination
-          It has characters, setting (the time and place of the action) and plot
-          The plot is the set of connected events on which a story is based.
-          Students learn about a character in a short story in the sample passage given to them by the teacher and they discuss about it
CATATAN / REFLEKSI
This was an interesting lesson. Students enjoyed the lesson and were able to describe the character well in the story.

-          Teacher does the revision for speaking by explaining to the students that some people when they speak they sometimes mumble on and on, monotonously
-          This will cause listeners to lose their interest if a speaker fails to use vocal variety
-          Vocal variety is voices that can be loud or soft, playing on one note or moving up and down the scale. When people use vocal variety it means they are using variety of ways to play their voice.
-          Students practice their vocal variety using the dialogues given to them.
CATATAN / REFLEKSI
-          This is quite a challenging lesson. Students will continue this lesson in the next lesson.

Tr shows some sentences and get students to practice paraphrasing the sentences to develop their skill in paraphrasing.
REFLECTION
Most of the students were able to paraphrase the simple sentences given to them with the teacher’s guide.
