AKTIVITI | - Teacher discusses with the students the diagram on Keys to Healthy Living with the guide of the food pyramid - Students list out the kind of foods that should be taken more often compared to food that should be taken less due to their amount of carbohydrates and protein contents. - After jotting down the necessary words to describe the food suitanle for eating students draft their essay with the help of their teacher. |
CATATAN / REFLEKSI | Half of the students were able to construct their framework of their essay well whereas the rest need the teacher’s guide to construct their paragraphs. |

AKTIVITI | - Teacher explains to the students that paraphrasing is a restatement of all the speaker’s ideas in their own words - when they listen to any spoken discourse they should first pick out key words or ideas that can help them understand the gist of what the person is saying. Then, they paraphrase by linking the key words or ideas. - Students practice paraphrasing the statements with the teacher to teach them how to paraphrase statements correctly. |
CATATAN / REFLEKSI | Students were able to learn satisfactorily how to paraphrase statements they heard correctly. |

CATATAN / REFLEKSI | - This was quite a challenging lesson. Some of the students had a poor command of the language. |
