ii.                  Students practise writing notes that can be written in chronological order using spatial order, topical and process order.
iii.                Teacher gets students to listen to the following sentences, then note down the key points clearly and briefly.

1.       Teacher gives several samples of sentences on the board. The sentences consist of simple, compound and complex sentences.
2.        Teacher explains how these sentences are constructed and gets the students to practice writing the sentences.
3.       Teacher gets the students to work in pairs and construct the sentences using and, but and or to make compound sentences.

i.                     Making a two-minute impromptu speech about “In Today’s Society the hand phone is a necessity, not a luxury. Do you agree?
Activities
i.                     Teacher gets the students t choose any topic from the list given and make a two-minute impromptu speech.
ii.                   It does not matter if they are unable to remember many points to support their opinions.
iii.                  They will use this opportunity to come in front of their class and overcome their nervousness.

ii.                   Listen to and repeat the sentences given with the correct stress

ii.                   repeat the words correctly that were uttered by the teacher

i.                     Teacher writes some words on the board that contain the /e/ sound.
ii.                    Teacher reads out each of these words with the correct pronunciation while the students listen attentively.
iii.                  After that, the teacher gets the students to say out the words with correct intonation and stress.

i.                     Teacher explains that when making inferences students must make an educated guess about something which is not directly stated.
ii.                   They infer or figure out more than what the words say.
iii.                  Teacher gets the students to read the paragraphs given and choose the inferences that best fits the information given.
