AKTIVITI	- Teacher explains that when writing essays it is important that students begin with a good introduction which attracts the attention of the reader and serves as a guide to give them the direction as they develop their ideas. - Students learn about the 6 strategies of beginning their essay - Teacher guides the students as the students practice writing the introduction of the essay
CATATAN / REFLEKSI	Most of the students were able to write a simple introduction using the strategies taught though their progress was very slow

PEDAGOGICAL STRATEGY CCTS OBJEKTIF	Writing conclusion Writing conclusion for the topic obesity and dumping of newborn babies Writing skill To write conclusions Mastery learning, contextual learning Analysing, inquiry General Students will be able to write the conclusion for the given topics in three well-worded sentences. Specific Students will be able to summarise the main points that is restating the thesis statements or the two topics given.
AKTIVITI	Teacher explains that writing conclusions should be brief Students should write a few well-worded sentences which are adequate for a short essay Teacher shows some examples on the conclusions of some chosen essays for practice with the students Students practice writing conslucions under the teacher's guide.
CATATAN / REFLEKSI	Students were able to write the conclusion satisfactorily using the guide words given.

AKTIVITI	Teacher explains to the students that when writing an argumentative essay they must remember to state their stand on the issue. Teacher shows an example of the introduction of an argumentative essay. Teacher gets students to copy the sample introduction of an argumentative essay. Students will learn the remaining part of how to write an argumentative essay.

AKTIVITI	Students continue their discussion with the teacher on the remaining points on the ways that enhance the 1Malaysia concept Teacher guides the students while they are constructing their sentences to form paragraphs
CATATAN / REFLEKSI	Two third of the students were quite able to construct the paragraphs in pairs and the other one third needed teacher's guide to help them.
